Sunday’s Sustenance – We must exalt Him!

Psalms 99:6-9  Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them. He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them. Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions. Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

Moses, Aaron, and Samuel interceded with God for the people, and they received answers from God to their prayers (Psalm 99:6).  But even these great men were still sinners needing forgiveness (Psalm 99:8). God forgave them because of His grace, but He did not excuse their sin.  He is the same God today - “Holy, Holy, Holy.”  We must exalt Him.

9 Characteristics of a Christian’s Music

I love to listen and sit under the influence of Dr. Don Scovill, music chairman of Ambassador Baptist College and music director at our church, Maranatha Baptist Church of Shelby, NC. He has been teaching in Sunday School on music.  Last Sunday he gave us 9 characteristics of a Christian’s Music.  Truly, the music of a Christian ought to be different from that of the world.
