Monday’s Manna – Ask a Hard Thing

2 Kings 2:10  And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

  • Have I asked a hard thing of the Lord today?
  • Do I believe that ALL things are possible with God?Mark 10:27  And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
  • Do I believe that He is able to do exceeding abundant above all that I ask or think?      Ephesians 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
  • I can come boldly to His throng and ask in confidence.                                                            Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
  • I can cast all my care on Him,                            1 Peter 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
  • I can bring everything to Him in prayer, thanking Him that He hears and answers.                        Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
  • This will bring peace which passes all understanding.                                          Philippians 4:7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Ask a hard thing of the Lord today!

Some Things do not have an End

I love my family.  There are the only thing on earth you can take with you to eternity.  How important to share the gospel with all of them!  It is exciting to see my grand children, one by one come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.  I look forward to the day when each one of them has been saved through the blood of Jesus Christ and I look forward to that great reunion in heaven.  You can be 100% sure!

9 Characteristics of a Christian’s Music

I love to listen and sit under the influence of Dr. Don Scovill, music chairman of Ambassador Baptist College and music director at our church, Maranatha Baptist Church of Shelby, NC. He has been teaching in Sunday School on music.  Last Sunday he gave us 9 characteristics of a Christian’s Music.  Truly, the music of a Christian ought to be different from that of the world. My music must show my changed life or regenerated experience.  If there is no change, then we have a defective salvation or perhaps, no salvation.  2Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. My music should show ownership. We are not our own.  We belong to Christ.  Be careful what you put into your body, mind, and soul.  Does it reflect the ownership of Christ? 1 Corinthians 6:19-20  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which y...
