Paranoid parents

Guest post from: Kent Lara My parents are great parents and I am so happy to have them as parents, but they have some strange quirks. Sometimes I wonder what happened in their past to make them the way they are today. I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. My parents are great people and they are great parents. Sometimes they might be a little too great. They worry about everything. They worry when I drive my car anywhere. They worry whenever they can’t physically see me. They are just paranoid about something happening to me. All my friends call us the HomeSecurity Family because of the way my parents act. I can’t really defend that title because I can completely understand it. My parents are so worried about something bad happening that they do everything in their power to prevent it. While I do always feel safe, I am not sure it is worth it. I am not saying it is a bad thing to try and prevent the bad, but at what point does it become a hindrance instead of a help?
