50 Reasons Why I Love the Lord

I recently had a birthday, but more important is my spiritual birthday.  I am so thankful to be born again. This is my 50th year in the Lord!  To think that the Lord saved me and keeps me is beyond my comprehension!  I am so filled with awe and gratitude to my Lord!  Since this is my 50th year to be saved,  I wrote down 50 reasons why I love Him.  It was not a hard task.  There are so many reasons to love the Lord.  I cannot think of one reason why the Lord would want to love me, but I am so thankful that He does.  He only is our HOPE. I have been so overwhelmed with the Lord's love for me that I felt like I needed to share it with others.  If you don't know the Lord, please don't delay.  You will never regret His love for you. He first loved me. He sent His only begotten son to die in my place. He forgives all my sin He saved me by His shed blood He has never left nor forsaken me. He is ever merciful and His merc...

Wednesday’s Wisdom – A Still Small Voice

1 Kings 19:1-21 Even in Elijah’s discouragement, the Lord keeps ministering to his heart.  Praise the Lord, He never leaves us nor forsakes us.  He continually ministers to us even during discouraging times. Elijah heard God is a still small voice.   How important to listen to the Lord and hear His still small voice.  Am I still long enough to hear what He has to say to me? Psalms 46:10  Be still, and know that I am God: . . .

Tuesday’s Treasure – What “WILL” you do?

Psalms 101:1-8  <<A Psalm of David.>> I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.  A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.  He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.  I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD. Some “I wills” that David purposed to do: I will sing of mer...

Monday’s Manna – Pleasures that never end.

Psalms 16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. What a great promise!  Day by day He lights our path and shows us the way to go.  May we keep our eyes on Him and follow so that we do not wander from path of life.  All other paths lead to destruction. No matter the circumstances, If we live with the realization that God is present, then our joy is full, even in the midst of trial, sorrow, or pain! How we desire pleasure!  God promises pleasures forever more – everlasting pleasures!  Can you even imagine it!  Earthly pleasures do not last, but life in heaven will give us pleasures that will never end. See also: Psalm 17:15 and 1Corinthians 13:12)

Sunday’s Sustenance – We must exalt Him!

Psalms 99:6-9  Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them. He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them. Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions. Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy. Moses, Aaron, and Samuel interceded with God for the people, and they received answers from God to their prayers (Psalm 99:6).  But even these great men were still sinners needing forgiveness (Psalm 99:8). God forgave them because of His grace, but He did not excuse their sin.  He is the same God today - “Holy, Holy, Holy.”  We must exalt Him.                            ...
