TO DO: What does your to do list consist of?

In 1Chronicles, there are at least 25 things that ought to be on my to do list: Give Thanks unto the Lord. Call upon His name. Make known His deed among the people. Sing unto Him. Talk about all his wondrous works. Glory in His name. Rejoice as ye seek the Lord. See Him and His strength. Seek His face continually. Remember His marvelous works and His wonders and his judgments. Be mindful always of His covenant. (He never breaks His promises!) Sing unto the Lord. Sing Psalms unto Him. Show His salvation daily.  (My faith should produce good works so that others see it and glorify the Lord) Declare His glory to the unsaved. Declare His marvelous works to all nations. Fear Him above all! Give unto Him.  ( I don’t have much to give, but I can give him my time, talents, treasures) Give the Lord glory and strength. Bring Him an offering. Worship Him in the beauty of holiness. ( Do I really realize the holiness of the Lord?) Fear Him – He is the one who holds t...

Monday’s Manna - The Lord, my helper

Psalms 121:1-8  <<A Song of degrees.>> I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth My God, who made heaven and earth is my helper!  He is the LORD GOD!  ( Isaiah 40:12  Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the eart...

Monday’s Manna

1 Chronicles 5:18-20  The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.  And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.   And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated of them; because they put their trust in him .   The Lord is my helper. He is my helper when I cry to him in my battles. He is my helper when I put my trust in Him Trusting in Him causes Him to be entreated of me!  Praise the Lord!  Oh, for grace to trust Him more. Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus Just to take Him at His Word Just to rest upon His promise Just to know thus saith the Lord Jesus, Jesus, how I t...

Monday’s Manna – Ask a Hard Thing

2 Kings 2:10  And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. Have I asked a hard thing of the Lord today? Do I believe that ALL things are possible with God? Mark 10:27  And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. Do I believe that He is able to do exceeding abundant above all that I ask or think?      Ephesians 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, I can come boldly to His throng and ask in confidence.                                           ...

Monday’s Manna – Pleasures that never end.

Psalms 16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. What a great promise!  Day by day He lights our path and shows us the way to go.  May we keep our eyes on Him and follow so that we do not wander from path of life.  All other paths lead to destruction. No matter the circumstances, If we live with the realization that God is present, then our joy is full, even in the midst of trial, sorrow, or pain! How we desire pleasure!  God promises pleasures forever more – everlasting pleasures!  Can you even imagine it!  Earthly pleasures do not last, but life in heaven will give us pleasures that will never end. See also: Psalm 17:15 and 1Corinthians 13:12)

Monday’s Manna

Exodus 16:15 . . . This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. Psalms 95:8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: Don’t grieve God with unbelief. “ You cannot soften your heart, but you can harden it by repeated disobedience to His Word.” Remember, He who promises pardon when we repent has not promised preservation until we repent.” ~Ed Nelson, My Morning Manna, Vol. 3, p. 224

Monday’s Manna

2 Samuel 24:10-14  And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly. For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me. And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. Even when David re...
