Mel hasn’t had a lot of work this winter, but God continues to provide all our needs. He has always taken care of us.
Memverse.com has become one of my regular sites that I visit now. It has been helping me tremendously in memorizing God’s Word, references included! If you don’t have your own regular program, you might want to take a look and join me.
We have both had our sicknesses this winter. Seems like it came and went once, only to return again. This year it included, coughing, congestion, earaches, and lasted for several days. It was not fun, but at least it was one of those sicknesses, where you could take medicine and still manage to function throughout the day. Some of our grand kids are suffering with it now.
Mel III, Jenny, and the kids took a survey trip to Milwaukee, WI this month. They returned home with some good news and some sad news. The good news is that the Lord has led them to move there to work in a church doing inner city ministry. This is something they have loved to do and now the Lord has opened up a full time opportunity for them. We are so happy for them. But the sad news, well, I think you can guess. They are leaving us! Oh, it will be so hard to let those grand kids go! But Praise the Lord, they are serving Him wholeheartedly. These are things that we ponder in our hearts just as Mary did with the Lord Jesus! God is so good. They will be working under Souls Harbor Baptist Church.
This month included a Valentine Banquet at our church, Maranatha Baptist in Shelby, NC. I captured a few pictures, but they did not come out the best.
Also, on Valentine’s Day we visited all the grand kids and took them a few things that we had put together for them. You can view a little smile box with some of those pictures below.

Of course, we were not able to visit our grand kids in Brazil. However, Esther sent me a picture of them with a valentine picture that they had colored. Oh how we miss them!
Mel and I usually are blessed enough to take a valentine getaway each year in celebration of our first date which was on valentine’s day 36 years ago. We had to wait a little longer, but we were able to go at the end of the month. We took a jaunt up to Winston Salem and enjoyed a day at Old Salem and then a day in the mountains for a couple of small hikes and then on to Mayberry. You can view a little slideshow below of all these happenings.
I have also added another video which is just a conglomeration of some of the same things.
Well, is Februrary 2012 really over? Time flies on, and life here is so short. I am thankful that this world is NOT my home. Soon I will spend eternity with the Lord and my family is all that I can take with me. I am thankful that all my children are saved and several of my grand children too. I look forward to the day when all of them have accepted Christ as their Savior. I look forward to spending eternity with them too. Are you ready? Are you laying up treasures in heaven? That is what make life worth living.

Addie has been thinking a lot about being baptized since she was recently saved. She decided to have a talk with the pastor about it.
Addie: Pastor Camp, I need to talk to you.
Pastor: What do you want to talk about Addie?
Addie: I want to be baptized.
Pastor: When do you want to be baptized?
Addie: As soon as my parents get their act together!
Here is another one.
One Sunday Addie came to church with her hair still a little damp. The dampness was causing her natural curls to come out more. Our Preacher’s wife noticed it and commented to her.
Mrs. Camp: Addie, I like your curly hair
Addie: I don’t like it.
Mrs. Camp: Why don’t you like it?
Addie: Because then I look like Nellie Olson
I would be glad for you to share a smile with me.
