Happiness, ASAP, Prayer

My happiness does not depend on my circumstances" Psalms 1:1-6  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. ***************************************  ASAP - Always Say A Prayer and do it As Soon As Possible. *********************** Remember prayer should be our first response, not our last resort.  note:  Do I need a wonde4ful resort to go

Blessed Be the Name of the Lord

God is so good.  I must remember that God is good all the time no matter the circumstances.  Recently, my son and daughter in law moved to Brazil as missionaries and oh the trials they have gone through just since moving in March.  Our daughter in law has had some serious health problems with colitis and then contracted a bacterial infection.  We wonder why,  but don't question God for we know He knows what He is doing.  He is at work in their lives as well as ours.  We are thankful for their attitudes and their strength in the Lord through all of this.  In and through all of it, as Job, they have not "charged God foolishly"  but have put their trust in Him and not leaned to their own understanding.  You can read more detail on their blog " Lockhart Life In Brazil " Job 1:21-22  And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job s

Glue Dots - What a great little item for any project

Twitter Moms is running another good contest.  $2,000 in Prizes Up for Grabs! Share your Glue Dots Summer Bonding Project for a Chance to Win I had never heard of glue dots so was very excited to sign up for my free sample.   I really did not expect to get such a good sample in the mail.  This is what I recieved: I'm not the world's craftiest person, but there are some household projects that these glue dots have worked great for. First of all, I had a skirt that I needed to wear, but alas, the hem was coming out and I did not have time to fix it.  Ah!  Glue Dots!  Why not try it?  I laid out the skirt, got the glue dots that said they would work on fabric and voila!  They have held my hem in nicely.  What a quick easy way and I did not have to take time to thread a needle. Yeah! Then for Father's Day,  my daughter gave a cute picture frame of the grand kids to their grandpa.  I found the perfect place for it, but it needed to fit a little better so as not to fall down.

Tips to having a house full of love

Teach the Word of God to you children and grand children so they will set thier hope in God so they will not forget God so they will keep His commandments so they will not be stubborn and rebellious These are just a few thoughts taken from Psalm 78: 7-8.   "That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments: And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God." Our homes will be full of love, God's love, if we will but simply trust and obey.
