Love the Cross, Count it Dear

Just a few lines below taken from today’s Morning and Evening by Spurgeon.  “It is the opinion of some that Simon only carried one end of the cross, and not the whole of it. That is very possible; Christ may have carried the heavier part, against the transverse beam, and Simon may have borne the lighter end. Certainly it is so with you; you do but carry the light end of the cross, Christ bore the heavier end. The cross we carry is only for a little while at most, and then we shall receive the crown, the glory. Preachers of the Past

Wouldn’t it be great to have know great preachers of the past?  Well, here is a way you can get to know them a little bit.  Last week we heard Mr. Doug Whitley preach a sermon doing a character presentation of Charles Spurgeon.  You can watch the presentation on you tube as well as many of his other character presentations.  You also might want to look at his website   where you can learn more about him and what he does.   You won’t be disappointed. Below is the first part of C.H. Spurgeon sermon on Love for the Prodigal Son.  You can go to You Tube and watch the other parts on Mr.Whitley's channel .

We hit it off right away. We spent our time serving the Lord while dating.  It wasn’t just about us. My husband was and still is a family oriented man. My husband loves me for who I am and has since day one. I love him for who he is and did since day one. We have come through good and bad together and have worked through trials together while trusting the Lord. He is my best friend. He is the hardest worker I know.  He does not have a lazy bone in h
