Saturday’s Sanctification – God’s holiness-our reaction

Psalms 99:3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy. Psalms 99:9  Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy . God’s holiness as presented in Psalm 99 should cause us to live out Psalm 100 Psalms 100:1-5  <<A Psalm of praise.>> Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.   Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord – Who? All ye lands!  One day all the lands will recognize who the Lord is! Serve the Lord – How? With gladness.  What a privilege to serve the Lord.  Are we glad for this privilege? K

Friday’s Freshness

Lamentations 3:22-23  It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.   1 Kings 11:14  And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, . . . The Lord may bring adversaries into our lives so that we will turn from our “strange gods” and keep that which the LORD commands 1 Kings 11:10

Thursday’s Thoughts

Philippians 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Psalms 97:5  The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. Hills and mountains of problems in our life can and will melt away if we will but realize God’s presence. Psalms 97:12  Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. Have I thanked God for His holiness today?

Wednesday’s Wisdom

1 Kings 8:61  Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. How much do we give? Psalms 96:8-9 “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name:” (Give Praise and worship) “bring an offering, and come into his courts.” (Give personal wealth) “O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” (Give practical witness) “ God wants our praise.  The world needs our practical witness of a holy life.  and we need to give our personal wealth.  God does not need our gifts-but we need to give.  The greatest gift we can give is to give our lives to His service. ~The above is from My Morning Manna, vol. 3, p. 226, by Ed Nelson

Monday’s Manna

Exodus 16:15 . . . This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. Psalms 95:8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: Don’t grieve God with unbelief. “ You cannot soften your heart, but you can harden it by repeated disobedience to His Word.” Remember, He who promises pardon when we repent has not promised preservation until we repent.” ~Ed Nelson, My Morning Manna, Vol. 3, p. 224

Sunday’s Sustenance

Psalms 34:8  O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalms 95:1-7  O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.  For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.   The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.  O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. . . . Sunday ought to be a day when: God’s people come before Him God’s people sing unto Him and make a joyful noise to Him – our rock! God’s people kneel humbly and worship the LORD – our maker, our God! We are His people and His pastures are the best we could ever ask for.  May we not wander into other pastures a
