Isn’t it wonderful to be able to find treasure from God’s word no matter what day or time you look into it? God’s Word is full of treasures that are past finding out!
1 Chronicles 11:3 Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
- David was anointed King according to the Word of the LORD by Samuel – God’s will is done according to His Word.
- God’s Word was given by Samuel - This reminds me of Romans 10:14 . . . how shall they hear without a preacher? How important to be ready to speak the Word of God. It may bring a sinner to repentance or encourage a believer.
- David waxed greater and greater for the Lord of hosts was with him 2 Chronicles 11:9
- Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
- Prosperity come from knowing God and meditating in and obeying God’s Word.
