1 Chronicles 21:1 And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
A man is blessed because:
“When the fear of the LORD is applied to God’s people, it is never a slavish fear. It is really a love for the LORD and a desire to please Him who is love. ~Ed Nelson
“Men look for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and they never find it. What they need to do is follow the arch of the rainbow and look up. In fearing the LORD, they will find happiness.~Ed Nelson
“Material things do not destroy the holiness of the righteous man-he carries forth God’s character. (Psalm 111:3 and Matt. 6:33) ~Ed Nelson
- I am reminded that Satan is alive and well in this earth and will be until God casts Him into the lake of fire forever.
- When Satan stands up against me, I must be prepared to stand against him.
- I need to resist him stedfast in the faith 1 Peter 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
- I need to put on the whole armour of God in order to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Eph. 6:11)
- I must not be ignorant of his devices (2 Cor. 2:11)
- He can come as a roaring lion (1Pe 5:8)
- He can come as an angel of light (2Co 11:14)
- Resisting him will cause him to flee James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- Allowing Him to have his way, may not just be tragic for me, but may be tragic for others also. In David’s case, thousands of people lost their lives. (1 Chronicles 21)
