Trials, Tribulations, and Trust!

This has been a week!  We never know what one day might bring.

Our 13th grandbaby was born on Tuesday! Caleb Lay came into the world weighing 6.9 pounds and 20” long.  Everything checked out fine except  that he was having breathing problems.  He  had to be air lifted to a children's hospital in Charlotte.  He looked so pitiful hooked up to all those machines, but we are sure thankful for the doctors and the technology these days that can save so many little lives.  He seemed to be doing better in just a short while and then one of his little lungs began collapsing and they had to do some risky procedures on him.  Praise the Lord for opportunities during this time.  My son was able to tell the doctor that this little guy had been given to the Lord and it was the Lord who decided between life and death.  They told the doctors to do what they thought was best and they would ask the Lord to guide his decisions and his hands.  God is so good.  As of this morning Caleb has improved and his mommy was so thrilled to be able to hold him for a while.  Yes, life it precious and a miracle and gift from God.  We are hoping to see Caleb again this afternoon.

Caleb

On top of all of this, our daughter in law in Brazil is facing some serious health issues.  My previous post was asking for prayer for her.  The doctors are working on her case, but time is passing quickly and her condition is worsening.  We ask the Lord for His mercy and for continued strength, wisdom, and healing.  May He get the glory through all of it.

Isaiah 26:4  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Lamentations 3:22-24  It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

ABORTION

The poem below was written by a teen-age resident at the Hephzibah House ministry. See him sit with features formed, in the hand of the One Divine, Each little tiny finger, each little toe, shaped from day so fine; God hath wrought this special one, for a purpose and a plan, To bring glory to His name, and to live for celestial gain.   But the one whom God hath chosen to carry His precious babe, Thought her sin too large and great and made a choice in shame; Death was the degrading sentence, with fear the reason why And gone was the child God did form, with a silent unheard cry.   Now before his God he stands, while his body with others rests, The souls of hindered children cry for judgment to be passed; How long with this nation endure, while mocking human life? God will require it at our hand, and rain judgment with strife.   *Note:  While the author of this blog does not believe in abortion, she does believe that God did not ordain sin nor the wron...
