Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Psalms 139:14-18  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.  My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.   How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
So thankful that our 12th grand child (girl # 8) arrived safe and sound this morning!   Mommy had to have a C-section – her fourth, so we were thankful for God’s protection and for a healthy delivery.  Mom and baby are fine.  Little Karrington Lee weighed in 6 lb. and 4 oz., 19.5 inches long.  Hope to see her soon!  God is so good and we are certainly fearfully and wonderfully made!
From Psalm 139
Lord, you know me, you know all about me
You know when I sit down or stand up and even each thought is known to thee.
When I go out or when I lay down, you know my way
Even before I speak a word, you know what I’m going to say
You put a hedge around me and always hold my hand
Your greatness is amazing and I just can’t understand
Your spirit is there wherever I go
Whether heaven above or the earth below
If I fly as a bird or cross the wide sea,
Still your hand holds and continues to guide me
The darkness and the night, they cannot hide me
These are the same as light to thee.
You fashioned me and covered me inside of my mother’s womb
You created me there with just enough room.
You alone could see me in that secret place
You wove my parts together from my feet to my face.
From morning to night, I am always in your hand.
You thoughts of me are more than the numbers of the sand.
I will forever praise you for the plan you have for me
Not just here on earth, but for all eternity.

Some Things do not have an End

I love my family.  There are the only thing on earth you can take with you to eternity.  How important to share the gospel with all of them!  It is exciting to see my grand children, one by one come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.  I look forward to the day when each one of them has been saved through the blood of Jesus Christ and I look forward to that great reunion in heaven.  You can be 100% sure!

9 Characteristics of a Christian’s Music

I love to listen and sit under the influence of Dr. Don Scovill, music chairman of Ambassador Baptist College and music director at our church, Maranatha Baptist Church of Shelby, NC. He has been teaching in Sunday School on music.  Last Sunday he gave us 9 characteristics of a Christian’s Music.  Truly, the music of a Christian ought to be different from that of the world. My music must show my changed life or regenerated experience.  If there is no change, then we have a defective salvation or perhaps, no salvation.  2Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. My music should show ownership. We are not our own.  We belong to Christ.  Be careful what you put into your body, mind, and soul.  Does it reflect the ownership of Christ? 1 Corinthians 6:19-20  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which y...
