Wednesday’s Wisdom - Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
1 Kings 2:3 And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:
As David charged his son Solomon, we also ought to charge our children to walk in the ways of the Lord. This alone will cause them to prosper in all that they do. Pray for them daily to follow the LORD whole heartedly.
1 Kings 3:7-9 And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
Ask God for wisdom every day. (James 1:5) It pleases God when we ask for His wisdom 1 Kings 3:10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
Do my other requests please God? May the Lord direct us in what I should request from Him.
1 Kings 3:13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
Many times God will give over and above anything that we can ask or even think! (Ephesians 3:20)
Psalms 94:19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
When my thoughts run every which way and I don’t understand “things” that are going on in our life and my thoughts are all confused and ramblin then I remember God’s Wrod and find comfort through Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 are wonderful verses and say it all for the Christian life. If we but trust and obey , God will direct and bless.
